2pm—Community Open House at Ascot Hills. Tour Ascot Hills Nature Park Phase II improvements by hiking the park’s trails. Residents can dispose of their household hazardous and electronic waste at a free Countywide Roundup on March 12 in Pico Rivera. Hazardous waste includes antifreeze, car batteries, and used motor oil. E-waste includes old televisions, computer monitors, and stereos. It will be held from 9am to 3pm at the Southern California Gas Co located at 8101 Rosemead Blvd. Limit of 15 gallons or 125 pounds of household hazardous waste per vehicle.
