Fatal Shooting in South Gate

(CNS) A 21-year-old man was shot and killed in South Gate early Tuesday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.

People reported hearing gunfire at the intersection of Tenaya and California avenues at about 12:40 a.m., according to Deputy Benjamin Grubb of Sheriff’s Headquarters Bureau.

Guillermo Eliseo, of South Gate, was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at a hospital, Grubb said.

Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives were assisting the South Gate Police Department in investigating the death.
