Boyle Heights School Lockdown

By EGP News Report

(CNS) – An elementary school in Boyle Heights was locked down for about an hour Tuesday while police investigated a report that a man with a gun was threatening people in the neighborhood, authorities said.

Officers sent to the 1900 block of East Second Street about 10:30 a.m. found no suspect in the area, said Los Angeles police Officer Gregory Baek of the Media Relations office.

Second Street Elementary School was locked down as a precaution, said Monica Carazo of the Los Angeles Unified School District.
