4pm—Red Cross Disaster Safety Puppet Show at the Arroyo Seco Library in Highland Park. The LA Fire Dept. is offering a Free Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) 7-week training course in Boyle Heights: Thursdays, 6:30-9:00 pm, June 28-Aug. 9 at the Hollenbeck Police Station: 2111 E. First St, LA 90063. Learn how to help yourself, family, and community during times of disaster. All citizens 18+ years old are invited. No experience necessary.
