Estudiantes Indocumentados Capacitan a Otros Jóvenes

Miembros de la Coalición de Jóvenes Inmigrantes (Immigrant Youth Coalition o IYC) el pasado 2 de junio realizaron una conferencia en la preparatoria Méndez en Boyle Heights para capacitar a otros alumnos indocumentados como ellos.

Los talleres del “Undocu-Power Conference” (conferencia de indocumentados) fueron dirigidos por jóvenes inmigrantes que ya han pasado por situaciones difíciles.
Los temas tocados en los talleres incluyeron: como asistir a la universidad como indocumentado, como ser activista estudiantil, como “salir de las sombras”, identidades que intersectan, derechos legales y temas de salud.
