Olympic gold medalist Brenda Villa will be returning next Sunday to the pool where she first learned how to play water polo. The City of Commerce is holding a ceremony on Aug. 26 to dedicate the pool to Villa, who earned a history-making gold medal while serving as the captain of the US Women’s Water Polo Team at the London 2012 Olympics. Vila is also four-time Olympian. The event will take place from 4-8pm at Rosewood Park (5600 Harbor Street, Commerce, CA). There will be music by a live DJ and refreshments.
