Detectives Seek Help in Westlake Area Homicide

By EGP News Report

LAPD homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify the suspects responsible for killing one young man and injuring another.

Last Friday, officers arrived at the 2800 block of Leeward Avenue in Los Angeles and saw two male victims of gunshot wounds on the front porch of an apartment complex.

Detectives have learned that two or three male Hispanics walked up to the victims and opened fire.  The motive for the shooting appears to be gang related.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the West Bureau Homicide detectives at (213) 382-9470. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477).
