Glassell Park Youth Get Ready for School

Over fifty children at Rio Vista Apartments in Glassell Park received backpacks filled with school supplies on Aug. 9. Rio Vista Apartments was developed in 2011 by Abode Communities and financed through several sources, including $12.2 million in low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) equity from U.S. Bancorp Community Development Corp. and a $2 million permanent loan from the U.S. Bank Community Lending Division, according to the press release. U.S. Bank donated the backpacks and supplies. (U.S. Bancorp)
