The crime occurred about 4 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of Kendall Avenue, said Los Angeles police Officer Bruce Borihanh of the Media Relations office. Police arrested the woman, in her 20s, at the scene, Borihanh said. Her name was not immediately released.

The fatally injured man was identified as Joseph Abraham Medrano, 30, of Los Angeles, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
