As part of their traditional holiday programming, Olvera Street Merchants have been celebrating Día de los Muertos/ Day of the Dead with a nightly “novenario,” a Pre-Columbian procession and blessing.
The festivities include altars, live entertainment, complimentary sweet bread and champurrado, a Mexican style hot chocolate drink.
The next novenario takes place tonight at 7pm; The Fiesta de Muertos (Festival of the Dead) runs daily through Sunday, Nov. 4.
