Student Chef Barbara Wheeler’s “Bella Herbs and Prosciutto” casserole earned her first place honors at the 15th Annual Mrs. Cubbison’s Thanksgiving Student Chef Stuffing Cook-Off held at Los Angeles Trade Tech Culinary School.

The Monterey Park resident bested a group of eight semi-finalists at the competition and will receive $100 for her first place recipe.

Lori Worthy of Los Angeles won 2nd Place for her “Five Layer Stuff” casserole, and Corinne Rapp of North Hollywood placed 3rd with her “Apple Cobbler Stuffing” casserole. In addition to plaques for the first three winners, all eight of the semi-finalist student chefs received certificates for a turkey and a box of Mrs. Cubbison’s Stuffing Mix.
