Authorities Identify South Gate Shooting Victim

Authorities on Monday identified a man found shot to death in a tattoo parlor in South Gate as twenty-two-year Erik Herrera.
The shooting death happened about 11:30 a.m. Sunday in the 4200 block of
Tweedy Boulevard. Herrera was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds, said coroner’s Assistant Chief Ed Winter.
There were no witnesses to the shooting, and detectives urged anyone with information to contact the Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.
