9am-12pm—Join Herman Velarde, author of ”Handbook For America: A 21st Century Guide to the Pursuit of Happiness” at the American Legion Hall, Post 206 in Highland Park where he will talk about community issues with parents, families and community members.Velarde will be discussing how to forge a more unified community and how parents can get their children who are failing back to the honor roll.
