Xipe Totec, a Northeast Los Angeles area-based aztec dance group, on Jan. 27 hosted a celebration to honor their leader Lazaro Arvizu for his more than 40 years of dedication and teaching of Mexico’s Danza Azteca. Several other aztec dance groups traveled from near and far and danced for about four hours on pavement near the Cypress Park Recreation Center on Pepper Avenue.
