Firefighter Injured in Boyle Heights Blaze

One firefighter was injured Sunday morning in a building fire in Boyle Heights, a fire captain said.

The fire at 401 N. Bernal Avenue, near the intersection with Cesar Chavez Avenue, was reported at 5:06 a.m. on Dec. 30, said fire department Capt. John Sullivan.

“One firefighter was injured while putting the fire out,” Sullivan said. “He was hospitalized in stable condition.”

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
