Kevin Hor, 25, earlier this month pleaded guilty to Animal Cruelty with a weapons allegation and could serve a maximum of 2 years 4 months in state prison, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
Hor’s actions resulted in a 2-month-old Pit Bull named Picasso being euthanized due to its injuries. This is Hor’s third strike under California’s “Three Strikes” policy.
Hor was arrested on October 1, 2012, when LAPD Hollenbeck Division officers responded to an animal cruelty investigation at a residence in the 1600 block of Ricardo Street.
An investigation by the LAPD Animal Cruelty Task Force (A.C.T.F.) revealed that witnesses previously observed Kevin Hor abusing Picasso on numerous occasions including stomping on pn the dog’s head, striking him with a pipe, and kicking and punching the dog in the face repeatedly.
