Woman Injured In Boyle Heights Train Collision

A woman was seriously injured Monday night when the car she was driving collided with a Metro Gold Line train in Boyle Heights.

The collision occurred about 9:30 p.m. at 1311 E. 1st St., said the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Erik Scott.

None of the 20 passengers aboard the train were injured. Passengers were transferred to another train.

The woman was taken to a hospital.

Editor’s note: An earlier version of this story erroneously identified the woman injured as a passenger of the vehicle. She was the driver, according to Los Angeles Fire Department’s spokesman Erik Scott.
