Wells Fargo to Hold Home Preservation Workshop Thursday for Struggling Customers
By EGP Staff Report
Pre-registration is recommended for Wells Fargo & Company’s free Home Preservation Workshop for Southern California Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, Wells Fargo Financial, and Wells Fargo Home Equity customers facing financial hardships taking place Thursday at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Hundreds of struggling Angelenos will receive free assistance to help avoid foreclosure, according to a Wells Fargo press release.
The company says that some participants could receive modifications or other workout options on the spot, provided they come prepared with all the needed documents.
The companies will also be offering assistance to homeowners whose loans are “under water” – meaning they owe more on their mortgage than the value of their home – who may be eligible to refinance their loan if they meet certain criteria, such as being able to show the ability to repay the loan.
Depending on eligibility for a loan modification, homeowners who are behind on their payments may also receive a principal reduction on their mortgage.
About 75 Wells Fargo home preservation specialist team members, including bilingual specialists, will be on hand to assist customers, and where possible, give borrowers a decision on a workout, loan modification, or other options, either on site or shortly following the workshop.
The workshop will take place in West Hall B at the Convention Center: 1201 W. Figueroa St., Los Angeles. Parking is free for people attending the workshop.
Walk-ins are welcome, however, Wells Fargo says pre-registration by Tues., March 5 is strongly recommended in order to guarantee the ability to meet one-on-one with a representative. To register, go to www.wfhmevents.com/leadingthewayhome or call 1-800-405-8067 for more information.
