From “Miss Spider’s Tea Party” to “Green Eggs and Ham,” school administrators, volunteers and even the Cat in the Hat read to students throughout Los Angeles County on March 1st in celebration of National Read Across America Day. The day, also known as Dr. Seuss Day, celebrates the importance of reading at an early age.

MUSD Board Member Gerri Guzman (center) read “I Will Never Not Ever Eat A Tomato” to Ms. Valencia’s 1st grade class at Washington Elementary in Montebello. Wearing  Cat in the Hat hats, students laughed as the Dr. Seuss character entertained the classroom.
