4th of July Gets Underway With 3 Local Fireworks Shows This Weekend

The skies over El Sereno, Boyle Heights and Eagle Rock will light up this weekend with spectacular firework displays that will close out some early 4th of July celebrations.

All three are sponsored by the office of Councilman Jose Huizar in partnership local community organizations.

Events are free and open to the public.and will include live music, games, booths and a variety of fun children’s activities.

Two of the events, in El Sereno and Boyle Heights are on Saturday, June 29, and the third will take place Sunday, June 30 in Eagle Rock.

Festivities in El Sereno kick off at 2pm with the 54th Annual 4th of July Parade that will start at Van Horne Ave. & Huntington Drive and ends at El Sereno Park where at 4pm there will be a concert and lots of fun games leading up the Fireworks Show at dusk, about 8 p.m. The park is located at 4721 Klamath St., Los Angeles, CA 90032.

The 7th Annual Boyle Heights Concert and Fireworks Show will take place at Hollenbeck Park, starting with a concert at 5 p.m. and the fireworks display at about 8:30 p.m. Take your chairs and blankets for relaxed seating The park is located at 415 S. Saint Louis St.
L.A. 90033.

On Sunday, the 4th Annual Eagle Rock 4th of July Concert and Fireworks Show will get underway at Eagle Rock Park at 4 p.m. with a concert followed by the fireworks at 8:30 p.m. The park is located at 1100 Eagle Vista Drive, L.A. 90041
