Two Killed, One Injured in Glassell Park Vehicle-to-Vehicle Shooting

By City News Service

The coroner’s office has identified the two men killed in a vehicle-to-vehicle shooting in Glassell Park on Saturday, July 20.

They deceased were indentified as Alfred Lopez, 32, and Juan Martinez, 18, both of Los Angeles, said coroner’s Investigator Jerry McKibbon.

About 3:35 a.m. on Saturday two suspects in a vehicle at Cypress Avenue and Future Street fired into another vehicle with three people inside, said Los Angeles police officer Sara Faden of the Media Relations Section.

Lopez and Martinez were killed, and the third occupant suffered minor injuries, Faden said.

Their vehicle continued to roll a few blocks before it crashed near the intersection of Eagle Rock Boulevard and Verdugo Road, she said.
