The Los Angeles Police Museum, located on York Boulevard in Highland Park, has something new to display. The museum was selected as a “2013 Totally Awesome Award” winner, by Red Tricycle, which recognizes family-friendly businesses. LAPD Chief Charlie Beck and Los Angeles Police Museum Executive Director Glynn B. Martine made the announcement on Sept. 5.

The museum, which opened in 2001, is the oldest surviving police station in Los Angeles, and houses a number of exhibits and retired police cars. For more information on the museum, visit www.lapolicemuseum.org
