By City News Service

Two shooting suspects who led police on a chase in El Sereno were arrested Friday.

One suspect, a 26-year-old man who was driving a black Lexus, was arrested around 5:45 p.m. near the intersection of Twining Street and Pueblo Avenue after the brief chase, police said.

A second suspect, a 20-year-old man who fled and hid under a house, was found by a K9 unit around 8 p.m., said Sgt. John Porras, watch commander of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Station.

Both men are suspected gang members, Porras said.

An assault rifle with two banana clips was recovered, he said.

The men were suspected of firing shots in the 4200 block of Grey Drive in El Sereno around 3:20 p.m., Porras said, adding that no shooting victims were located.
