Employers from a variety of industries will be accepting job applications and resumes Saturday at the 19th Annual Community Job Fair at Dodger Stadium.
The event is expected to draw over 100 companies, government agencies and others, many with immediate job openings.
Last year, according to organizers, more than 5,000 people from across the Southland attended the event, hosted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in partnership with the City and County employment development agencies, Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce and more than a dozen local elected officials.
Information on job training will also be available.
Kaiser Permanente, Warner Bros. Entertainment, Fairplex and Lowe’s are just a few of the companies taking part.
The job fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Parking at Dodger Stadium and admission to the job fair is free. A free shuttle will be available to and from the corner of Elysian Park and Sunset Boulevard and the stadium.
Some employers may conduct on the spot interviews; job seekers are encouraged to dress appropriately in business attire and to take multiple copies of their current resume.
