BREAKING: Fatal Shooting Near 110 Pasadena Freeway Snarles Traffic

By City News Service

A man was found fatally shot “in the dirt” today by the northbound Pasadena (110) Freeway at Avenue 60 in Highland Park.

A SigAlert was declared and two lanes of the freeway, between Via Marisol and Marmion Way are still closed for the investigation.

Reports of about four to five bullets being fired came in shortly after 5 p.m., said Los Angeles Police Department Officer Sara Faden.

It took police about an hour to locate the body that was in the dirt by the freeway and close to, but not in, a nearby wash, Faden said.

There was no immediate suspect information, Faden said.

Traffic was backed-up to the Golden State 5 Freeway at the height of the afternoon rush.
