Lincoln Heights Shooting Under Investigation

By City News Service

A 22-year-old man was killed April 2 in what police believe was a gang-related shooting in Lincoln Heights.

The victim was found not breathing on a sidewalk at 4:20 p.m. in the 2700 block of Manitou Avenue, one block south of North Broadway, and declared dead at a hospital, said Officer Nuria Vanegas of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.

The suspect was described as wearing a gray sweatshirt who left on foot going west on Manitou, Vanegas said.
