Union Station to Turn 75 With Grand Celebration

By EGP News

The historic Union Station in downtown Los Angeles turns 75 on Saturday, May 3, and Metro, which operates the facilities, has planned a daylong family-friendly event to mark the milestone.

In partnership with National Train Day, Amtrak and Metrolink, Metro will commemorate the iconic station’s 75th birthday with a variety of free activities, including live music, model train displays, exhibitors and more.

Union Station is a major transportation hub for the city of Los Angeles, with all Metro rail lines and longer-range passengers trains, like Amtrak, making stops at the station. Activities will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information visit metro.net/unionstation or call 323.GO.METRO (323) 466-3876.
