By EGP News

Monterey Park is looking for artists who want to make their mark in the city, as part of a utility/traffic box beatification project.

Like nearby Highland Park and Lincoln Heights, the city of Monterey Park is looking for volunteer artist to help decorate the over 40 traffic control boxes found throughout the city. Artists are encouraged to submit a sketch that features the city’s flower geraniums, or community-appropriate designs.

The project is open to Monterey Park residents and students who attend a school in the city.

Interested applicants may contact the recreation department at (626)307-1388 or visit the city’s website www.montereypark.ca.gov to download an application.
