Bands and DJ artists descended on Grand Park in Downtown Los Angeles Friday, during the park’s second annual Fourth of July Block Party.

The event covered the entire 12 acres of the park and was three times larger than the previous year, extending from Grand Avenue to Main Street.

The main stage featured performances by Echosmith, Brick and Mortar, Phantogram, Wild Cub and Semi-Precious Weapons. A separate DJ stage featured Tailwind Turner, Derrick Wise, DJ ALA and Drack Muse.

The holiday event concluded with a fireworks display shot from the rooftop of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion at the The Music Center. The event was produced by The Music Center in collaboration with Accenture, ALT 98.7 FM, the County of Los  Angeles and the office of L.A. Councilmember Jose Huizar.
