Man Murdered In Montebello Identified

A man shot to death in Montebello was identified Wednesday as a 35-year-old local resident.

Frank Burnell Taylor of Montebello was found fatally shot in the 500 block of South Maple Avenue about 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to Montebello police and a coroner’s spokesman.

Montebello police Lt. Andy Vuncanon said the 20-something shooter was in a compact, silver-colored pickup truck. Witnesses told police the shooter, described as about 6 feet tall and 180 pounds with short black hair, got out of the pickup, shot Taylor once in the chest, got back in and drove off.
