Murder Suspect Caught In Mount Washington

By City News Service

A murder suspect was arrested Wednesday in the Mount Washington area, police said. The man was taken into custody about 9:20 a.m. near Avenue 52 and the Pasadena (110) Freeway, said Los Angeles police Officer Liliana Preciado. His name was not immediately released.

The suspect was wanted in the shooting death of a man earlier this year, but details of the crime were not immediately available.

Officers spotted him in the neighborhood about 7:30 a.m., but he took off on a bicycle, Preciado said. Police then set up a perimeter in the area and took him into custody about two hours later.
