National Night Out Events

5-8pm—Commerce: Attend one of the many neighborhood barbecues and block parties taking place across the city. Meet Sheriff deputies and firefigheters; discuss public safety issues with your neighbors. For more information and locations, call (323) 887-4447

 

6-8pm—Monterey Park: Event will feature educational activities, free bicycle repairs, raffles and information by the Special Response Team, K9 unit, animal control, fire department and C.E.R.T. Refreshments and snacks will be provided. Location: 320 W. Newmark Ave. For more information, call (626) 307-1215.

 

6-9pm—Montebello: Display of emergency police and fire vehicles; free bike inspections & food and drinks will be on sale. Location: 1700 W. Victoria Ave. For more information, email bcontreras@cityofmontebello.com. 

 

6-9pm—El Sereno: Police, Fire, City staff, community groups, and local businesses will be on hand to provide crime prevention and problem solving information. FREE hot dogs and summer time treats. Location: El Sereno Constituent Services Center – 4927 Huntington Dr. North LA 90032.

 

6:30-9pm—Bell Gardens National Night Out Block Parties: 6717 Liveoak St. and 6617 Javoneria Rd. There will be food, music and information about the police department and the neighborhood watch program. For more information, call (562) 806-7686.

 

6-8pm—Hollenbeck Area:  Greater East L.A. area residents are invited to attend event sponsored by LAPD, Hollenbeck CPAB, and Councilmen Jose Huizar and Gil Cedillo. Free entertainment and food. For more information, call (323) 342-4130.

 

7pm—Northeast Los Angeles: Councilman Gil Cedillo and Divine Saviour Catholic Church present a night of peace. Come meet the police officers who help make your neighborhood safe. Church is located at 610 Cypress Ave. La 90065. For more information, call  (323) 225-9181.
