SWAT Called in Boyle Heights Standoff

By City News Service

A standoff ended in Boyle Heights Saturday with three men taken into custody and two women hostages freed, Los Angeles Police Department officials said.

The incident ended just after 10 p.m, according to LAPD Sgt. Eddie Arangure.

A SWAT team was called to 2458 Folsom St. about 6 p.m., Arangure said.

The men barged into the house. One of the women called police and said the men were armed, he said.

Whether either of the women knew either of the men was under investigation, Arangure said.

A SWAT team was called and surrounded the house, according to Arangue.

“When they figured out SWAT was there, they came out,” Arangure said.

There were no injuries reported.
