Ramon A. Ortiz, age 86, died peacefully in his sleep on Monday, July 25, 2016. As a loyal resident of Lincoln Heights, he supported the community and was the successful business owner of Falcon Television Service and Jewelry Repair for 35 years.

He lived a brilliant life that will forever serve as a reminder of what can be built from dedication, strength, and sacrifice. He was a devoted husband who married his soulmate, Laura, and  alongside her brought a proud and loving family into this world. He was the valley that all of our hopes and dreams grew out of…he was the mountain that stood tall and protected us…he was the sky that we looked to at night – so bright and full of stars. Every single moment in his presence was filled with love, as he was our beautiful patriarch.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, and his legacy continues on through seven children, 16 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. They are reflections of his courage, loyalty, and resilient spirit.

Services in his loving memory will be held at Forest Lawn, 1712 S. Glendale Ave, Glendale, CA. On Sunday, July 31, a public viewing will take place at the Wee Kirk O’ the Heather from 6:00-9:00pm. A Holy Mass and celebration of his life will also be held at the Church of the Recessional on Monday, August 1 at 1:30pm.

Please remember him through prayer, kindness, and joyful singing. Flower arrangements can also be sent to Forest Lawn.
