Alleged Gang Member Wanted in Wife’s Killing

MONTEBELLO – Police are circulating a photo of a 26-year-old reputed gang member suspected of killing his estranged wife in Montebello.

Christopher Michael Diaz allegedly shot Roxann Acosta just before 10 a.m. Sunday at a residence in the 1200 block of Victoria Avenue.

Officers who responded to a shots-fired call found the victim dead inside the home.

Family members said the mother of three was eight weeks pregnant with her fourth child.

Diaz was described as Hispanic, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and 145 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. Police said he should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts was asked to call Montebello police Detective Ruben  Zabala at (323) 887-1254 or dial 911. Tipsters who want to remain anonymous can also call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS.
