Cityhood for East LA One Step Closer to Fiscal Analysis

On Wednesday, the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) hired a consulting firm to perform unincorporated East Los Angeles’ Comprehensive Fiscal Analysis. Oscar Gonzales of the East Los Angeles Residents Association called the hiring of Economic & Planning Systems exciting and the next step towards Cityhood. The amount the residents association has fundraised since January has not been made public. They will need to raise $134,710 for the analysis to begin.
