Pacific Railroad Employee Killed in Boyle Heights Drive-By

By EGP News Service

Police searched last week for whoever killed a man in a drive-by shooting in Boyle Heights.

The victim was fatally shot near Union Pacific Avenue and La Puerta Street about 8:40 p.m. on Nov. 11, according to Officer Karen Rayner, a Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman.

News reports identified the victim as Ademio Morales, 43. The vehicle from which the shots were fired was a white compact with tinted windows, possibly a Toyota Corolla, a watch commander at the LAPD’s Hollenbeck Station said last Thursday.

The slaying occurred in a pocket of Boyle Heights bordering Vernon and East Los Angeles.
Anyone with information on the shooting was urged to call detectives at the LAPD’s Hollenbeck Station at (323) 342-4101.
