Local Agencies Receive Federal Grants to Aid Homeless Veterans

Six Los Angeles-area agencies received federal grants totaling nearly $1.9 million last week to provide homeless veterans with job training and placement assistance.
The grants were among 97 issued across the country, totaling more than $24 million, according to U.S. Labor Secretary Hilda Solis.
Programs receiving the grants were: Salvation Army, $553,606; People Assisting the Homeless, $130,000; United States Vets Inc., $300,000; Volunteers of America, $300,000; Weingart Center Association, $300,000; and New Directions Inc., $300,000.

The “TRAINING” will be worthless “Life Skills” nonsense, supervised resume classes with BLANK RESUMES because they have no REAL TRAINING, and sorting clothes at Goodwill masqueraded as “Job Training”.
