East LA Sheriff’s Detectives Seek Denny’s Armed Robbery Suspect

An armed man who robbed a Denny’s Restaurant in Commerce is being sought by East Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station detectives.

The crime happened Monday, Dec. 10, at 11:40 p.m. at the Denny’s located at 5142 Triggs Street, just off the 5-Freeway in Commerce, according to the LA County Sheriff’s Department.

The man placed an order at the front counter, pointed a black semi-automatic handgun at the cashier after the register opened, he then reached over the counter and took the money from the register, according to the department.

A similar robbery took place at a Denny’s Restaurant in the city of Orange earlier that day. The suspect is described as a Male Hispanic, between the ages of 30-35, weighing 160 lbs and standing 5’05” tall .
