9:45am—Mount St. Mary’s College Offers Public Tours of its iconic 1899 Doheny Mansion and the historic Chester Place grounds and homes that have housed the College’s downtown campus since 1962. Three tour times:  9:45am, 10:30am, and 11:15 am. Tours last approx. 2 hours. $20 per person; proceeds support mansion conservation. 10am-2pm—Eastside Arts Festival at Esteban Torres High School. Join over 20 LAUSD Schools for an annual arts festival with spoken work, dance, Theatre and more. Event is free and open to the public.  School is located at 4211 Dozier Ave, LA 90063.

12 Noon-7pm—12th Annual Lantern Festival Hosted by the Chinese American Museum & El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historical Monument (Olvera Street). The free colorful street fair will include stage performances (lion dancing, martial arts, magic show), arts & crafts, and more to mark the closing of Lunar New Year festivities. 11:30am-4:30pm—Heritage Square Museum Exhibit: Visions of Oz-A Celebration of Art from Over the Rainbow. The multi-media exhibit showcases over 100 works of art from a diverse group of artists and runs through March 31 during regular museum hours, 11:30-4:30 pm, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays & most holiday Mondays. 4pm—The East West Players Theatre for Youth Performs at the Monterey Park Bruggemeyer Library. Group will perform re:MiX’T, a play that takes the audience on a wild journey through the choppy waters of race and identity in America. Co-sponsored by the Friends of the Library and So Cal Edison. Don Bosco Technical Institute (Bosco Tech) Second Annual Yurak Memorial 5K Run at Irwindale’s Santa Fe Dam Recreational Area on Sat, March 9. Proceeds benefit school’s sports programs. The Annual Teen Summit will be held on Sunday, March 16 at City Terrace Park.
