4pm—79th East Los Angeles Classic football game between Roosevelt & Garfield Highs Schools will be held at East LA College Weingart Stadium. The famed annual showdown between the two rivals is also both schools’ homecoming. Junior varsity game is at 4pm; varsity plays at 7pm. Stadium is located at 1301 Avenida Cesar Chavez, Monterey Park.

All Day—Fri-Sunday-Olvera Street Celebrates Day of the Dead/Dia de los Muertos With Music, Dance, Workshops, Novenario Procession. Performers include Aztec & ballet folklorico dancers, teatro groups, mariachis, and other entertainment from 11am to 9pm all three days. Join the nightly colorful & traditional novenario procession, which includes costumed performers, blessings, purfication ceremony and more (starts at 7pm). Presented by the Olvera Street Merchants. 10:30am-9pm—Dia de los Muertos Mixed Media Group Show at Corazon de Los Angeles at the historic Olvera Street Marketplace. Noon-4pm—The Dead Come to Life at LA Plaza! Annual Día de los Muertos celebration includes performances of music, dance and theatre with Xipe Totec, Teatro Tatalejos, and more. Hands-on workshops, make your own calavera mask, pan de muerto, and paper mache skull From 7 to 11pm, enjoy special performance by Voz De Mano after 10 years since their break-up, Matamoska Skacore, and Velorio from Bakersfield.
